This work explores how language adds to the confusion, frustration, and obstacles involved when navigating life with autism. An imposing wall of abstract letters conveying a visual interpretation of the experience of dealing with auditory processing and how it can be a literal blockage when attempting to communicate in an overstimulating environment. Interwoven letters reflecting how auditory processing leads to an inability to understand what others are trying to communicate. The combination of inorganic materials along with abstracted letterforms conveys a disconnect between the neurotypical experience and the neurodivergent experience, thus creating a feeling of alienation and frustration.
